The fabric used in women's T Shirts today lends itself to being dressed up so that a T Shirt can be a very attractive 'clean-casual' dress. The cut of the fabric is quite different to other fabrics that are used more for the very casual and 'statement' type of T-shirt. Today's casual-dress is discretely cut showing a little decolletage which can be made even more attractive with a semi-formal necklace or pendant.
The casual-dress tee shirt is made even more attractive for these occasions when paired with a skirt to enhance the waist and lower limbs. This gives a smooth compact look that seems to suit most female forms. When in doubt about what to wear, my Mum always used to say a skirt would get you out of these situations because it was a good 'between' dress. Now with these new T shirt fabrics that are on the market makes this even more of a piece of good dress advice.
There are just some places and social events or even work days, when jeans and t-shirt just aren't suitable to wear. And the economic situation being what it is, most women can't afford to have a wide range of clothes in their wardrobe to choose from. So the idea of multi-functional clothing is attractive. You tend to be able to get more wear out of Tee shirts if you have the rest of a suitable outfit to pair them with. A neat fitting, tailored pair of slacks is also a handy item for those times when a skirt may make you feel 'over-dressed' and yet a pair of jeans would make you feel too 'under-dressed' for the occasion.
If you colour coordinate your wardrobe so that a T shirt will go with two or three items and you can swap and change clothes around you will not only save a lot of money but you will always have something suitable to wear for every occasion and never have to feel out of place again.
